Other travel options to consider: Amtrak’s Coast Starlight offers daily service between Sacramento and Seattle. Boarding at midnight in Sacramento, the train arrives in Seattle at 8 pm. Amtrak doesn’t NOT offer direct service to Clemson.

While Seattle is only an 11 hour drive from Sacramento, Clemson is 38 hours one-way, 2,600 miles, not including stops.
