Schottenheimer had a horrible track record before coming to Seattle, the Seahawks deserved what they hired. The defense is going to get shredded by any above average QB. So far they have had the luxury of facing Keenum and Trubisky. Agreed that this is a 6-7 win team.
Can Russell Wilson start taking a little bit of the blame yet? Or are we going to use the "He doesn't have a line" and "He doesn't have anyone to throw to" for the rest of his career? Amazing how he can look like shit for 3 quarters, make one "good" throw, and everyone forgets about him shitting his pants.
Blaming this on Wilson is FS.
You let two of his top three receivers walk in FA, take the other one via injury, put him behind the worst OL in history and draft a shitty RB in the first round while hiring a proven awful OC and expect him to still produce.
He's not a perfect QB but he has literally zero to work with right now.
TL; DR: His best weapon is Will Dissly.
Case closed.
And when he gets paid 80 Billion dollars a year they won't have any more money to upgrade anything and he can live off of 1 Super Bowl the rest of his career because "he doesn't have anything".
You're one of my favorite posters but this shit is retarded. His cap hit this year and average per year is less than Kirk Cousins, Andrew Luck, Matthew Stafford, Jimmy Garroppolo, Derek Carr, Drew Brees and Joe Flacco. His annual average is less than Aaron Rodgers and Matt Ryan.
And his deal is within $2 million of another set including Cam, Eli, Roethlisberger, Rivers.
The only good to great QB in the league who isn't on a rookie deal and doesn't have a deal within Russell's price range is Tom Brady, who is the GOAT for a damn reason but is also married to a financial powerhouse. Expecting anyone else to take a deal like Brady is unrealistic. Brady is the outlier here.
Russell is like the tenth highest paid QB in the league. You can have a highly paid QB and a roster around them that doesn't suck ass. I'd trade Russell's weapons for anyone on that list outside maybe Flacco and Jimmy G.
Wilson isn't perfect but he's far from the problem.
