Why does this offense refuse to take the easy yards? Seems like screens to Rome and crossing routes to westover are available every single play for 8-15 yards. Seems weird they don’t do that more.

Of all the Grubb fuckups in play calling this year, was the 3 and out with 2 minutes to go in the half up 14-7 possibly the worst of this season?

Seems like it was even worse than the 3rd quarter play calls again Oregon and that Grubb should have been fired on Boeing Apple Cup logo after the game.

Given that the Ducks are unquestionably the better team, how much (I deal in hypotheticals) does UW need to win by to get a shot at the Playoffs? Are the Ducks a lock with another three point loss or do they need to keep it closer?
 
Do you think Brock Huard does actually have some sort of deep-seated animosity towards his alma mater? It can easily be chalked up to him trying to be "neutral" but he really does seem to go out of his way to downplay anything positive UW does and fellate their opponents when he commentates our games. He seemed irritated when they showed the picture of him playing for UW and quickly moved on from the subject when it was brought up. When he was a local radio personality, he never discussed UW or his time there.

Also, now that our Penix is broken, would Jacob Eason be a good comparison for what we are left with at the position? Great arm but doesn't see the field well, thinks too much, and is off on most of his throws?
 
Cliff Mass has not blogged about it to my knowledge, but could Penix’s issues be related to the weather? Seems he started fading a bit as the temperature started cooling.

Maybe this portends good things in the climate-controlled Vegas venue?

Why is Brock Huard so embarrassing? Openly cheers for the Beav, Coog and Ducks on his telecasts and on twitter (e.g. rooting for the Beavs to win the P12 title preseason), let alone his anti-UW behavior on the air with Salk.
