We should hire DeBoer back

10-12 million and promises for everything else would have kept him.
But at some point whoever is in charge of this program would have to address personnel, money and everything else that Jedd is currently taking on.
To say that DeBoer would have done it or committed to it is just an assumption, when he never has before during or after UW at any stop.

Would it have kept him? Doubtful. He might be the OC at the Hawks instead of Grubb

You actually agree with me. The program fucked up and will continue to. 10 to 12 is even more damming
At some point…
There's the rub

If he was always going to leave he wouldn't have had the answer he had publicly this summer.
Even before the 2023 season CFB Matrix had his coach effect like 1a 1b to Whittingham. And he's been a consultant to guys like James Franklin.
If UW would have called him up about his system and DeBoer then Bartoo would have said to offer the entire campus to him for life or else he's going to get snatched up by Bama or Ohio State which is how it played out. He made shit money here even after the raises.

Nope
I'm addressing the reality of yet another failure by UW
He'd go to the NFL and the rest of the bullshit is cope
You haven't had an answer for the Sexton point
Sexton is in the game to get SEC coaches paid. He isn't wasting his time with UW
I'm pretty sure that UW dollars are worth the same as 'Bama dollars.
And in every other way Bama is better. It's the best CFB program of all time.

Want DeBoer to still be here? Go back in time and convince Saban to not retire

Ok, sure. But the comment was that Sexton only deals with SEC dollars. He deals with whoever will net him the most dollars.

All else being equal and DeBoer goes to Bama. UW isnt outbidding Bama so whats the point in all of this? Their roster was stacked with 5 stars due to Saban, UW was stacked with 3 stars who hadn't played.

This isn't astrophysics for doogs

I mostly agree with you, but I refuse to believe that a guy would succeed at a school that "has less football support than WSU even" back in 2021 when he took the job but would fail at Washington. Washington is generally trying for him in a way that they weren't DeBoer.
It'd be nice to get some kind of Documentary/Netflix show about everything that went on at Washington but all we have or will ever get is are documentaries about Michigan's super smart cheating system and Oregon's special season of winning a Natty where absolutely no one gave them a shot besides the national media and everyone that publishes sports articles on the internet.
