In order to attract more traffic into Portland to take advantage of the thriving small businesses there and the recent elimination of homelessness and crime Portland has lowered raised the snot out of parking fees and extended the parking fee hours to 10:00 PM. The concern for the public is reflected that in no way does this represent a tariff on parking. That would be regressive tax on working Americans.
