We need a general tweet of the day thread

I didn’t realize Hunter named his son Beau. How old will Li’l Beau be before the kids at school tell him his Dad banged his aunt (and his aunt’s sister), got auntie hooked on crack and meth, and all of this was shortly after her husband, and the uncle he is named for, died.
Kid should start going by his middle name ASAP.

The biggest problems with a leftist government is the complete lack of accountability and a priority for shoveling money to dem constituents with a kickback for money and votes to dem politicians (and RINOs). Pretending that the federal Department of Education and the Oregon or Washington education departments have educating students in reading and math is just that - pretending. Oregon has a petition going to allow for a vote for school choice allowing their tax dollars to go to private or charter schools.

ANOTHER DAILY CHART: SPENDING ON SCHOOLS IS IRRELEVANT
Liberals have only one tool in their tool box: a checkbook. Whatever the problem might be, the solution is always the same: spend more money. Of course, it probably is not coincidental that the bulk of the money always goes to Democratic Party supporters. For liberals, spending is an end in itself–in fact, the only meaningful end. Whether their programs actually work is immaterial.
Education is a good example. The Democrats’ only solution to the fact that our public schools are awful is to spend more money on them. But that is precisely the policy we have been following for decades, with terrible results. This chart, from the Committee to Unleash Prosperity, tells the story. In constant dollars, spending on education has skyrocketed, while student achievement has stagnated. If anything the trend is downward:

The bad news is that our public schools are terrible. The good news is that parents and taxpayers are starting to catch on. In my state, Minnesota, 64% of 11th graders can’t do math at grade level. And a majority of all K-12 students can neither read nor do math at grade level. That is why, in our most recent polling, 74% of Minnesotans said they are in favor of school choice. The movement to free our children from the grip of the teachers’ unions and the public schools has gained momentum that may be irresistible.

Our government at work. This issue in Multnomah County has been going on for decades. On top of the immediate problem of supposedly working 80 hours a week and how that effects job performance and the massive amount of immediate overtime pay, a lot of this overtime goes to sheriff officers with a year or two left before retirement. Their pensions will be based on the average of their last few years prior to retirement. Having a few years of $300,000 is your base period will lead to decades of an inflated pension. It's not like being a jailer is like being a lead detective with exceptional skills in murder investigations. You would think a base salary of close to $100,000 might get someone who can watch monitors and do bed checks and push buttons to open cells. I'm guessing that the guards watching Epstein were on overtime and taking a nap. Good work if you can get it.
