If there were any smart people in California he would have never won the election after that interview when it happened. But, obviously we know how that turned out.
 
Newsom got elected, survived a recall and got elected again

The big news is that Trump is "only" 13 points behind Biden in California which is a pretty decent leap but that state is gone as far as elections go
