Definitely marginalized and at best mentally unstable, but desperate to belong to some group. Like attracts like and they definitely couldn't hold down a job dealing with the general public. LBGT, "feminism", abortion, and free shitters are the only group they can be part of and feel some sense of belonging. Definitely, a twisted and demented religion.

Vast majority were losers and outcasts in high school and junior high (probably elementary school too)
A lot of them are still losers who can't hang onto friends in adulthood

So, I'm an gas refiner who has an after tax net income of about 10% of gross revenue. So, I'm sitting on a million barrels of oil that that I bought for $50 a barrel. To buy my next million barrels of oil at $100 a barrel I need $100 million. I get my money from selling refined gas. So, I need to sell my $50 million of existing inventory for $105 million so I get my 10% profit and my $100 million for new inventory. I do get a one time income boost, but I need the higher profit to continue in operation. This has been simplified, but that's the way it works.
I had to read that a couple times because I'm quite poor, dumb, and apparently I scam welfare and S.S. checks as well
