Do what you're told. You are being detained but it will quickly escalate into other crimes. People talk themselves into tickets and arrest at an alarming frequency.
Florida is free because most areas enforce the laws and most people respect law enforcement. A lot of folks carry too, and that cannot be dismissed as a deterrent for bad actors, especially when you couple it with law enforcement that has no problem with the FO part of FAFO.
