More evidence of Team Dazzler's commitment to public indoctrination education. Imagine voting for this. Imagine a huge federal education bureaucracy that supports this.

I've been told elsewhere on the bored that we can attract more teachers if we just pay the "a little more". We might be able to expect literacy from them even.

Eliminate the bad teachers. Eliminate the incredibly expensive education bureaucracy that educates no one. Restore discipline to the classroom. Then pay for quality teachers. Teachers at Jesuit in Beaverton are paid less than the public high school teachers in Beaverton. For some reason the Jesuit teachers are happier than the Beaverton public teachers.

I don't disagree. I would specify with the restoration of discipline that it should not be the responsibility of the public schools to educate those who disrupt the process and that expulsion should be more easily accomplished. For those who simply are not that interested in academics, but who would like to learn a trade, I think that should be an option at some point in the process.

Sort of late to the party Pal. Nice comments but unfortunately individual responsibility and accountability aren't a voting issue for you. On the other hand you still have unlimited abortion in your blue states. So, overall a winner for you.

Yes, and what's your point? Cut out all the admin fat and woke positions. Stop letting teachers indoctrinate seven year olds about what people do in the bedroom.

Portland getting serious about illegal camping. Portland has more homeless today than when the dems said they were getting serious about the issue and throwing millions and millions to "solve" the problem.

The solutions don't seem all that hard.

  • Enforce laws, including drug, loitering, camping, parking (some cities have a 48-72 hr. limit on parking in one spot), enforce panhandling laws
  • Set up shelters - most cities have unused buildings, or rent some hotel
  • For perpetual offenders, give them a choice, either get clean or spend time in the can
  • Fund looney bins better
  • Loosen red tape so more housing can be built, and it's less expensive to buy and rent
Bill for mayor of a town near you
