The segment TC had on last night about the recruitment of new airline pilot candidates, has me wanting to glance into the cockpit for the first time ever.
Read the cockpit transcript of the Amazon Prime 767 that nosedived into a lake outside Houston on approach.

Very clear that competency is not a requirement. Every black pilot is going to have to deal with a questioning public if they actually just have an AA pilot's license.
It's one thing to be old and chuckle at how the doctor or pilot looks like a teenager

Well, former Mayor Sam Adams got his wish and Portland will not be contaminated by any Walmarts. For some reason, crime, homelessness and most importantly shoplifting isn't mentioned in the article.

First, fuck bathroom Sam.
That Delta Park store was actually one of the nicer looking units. I occasionally hit the Loews right by it.
But that area is not a place I’d go shopping for anything other than 2x4’s or hammers. The dregs of society infest the entire area. It’s a cesspool.
So, fuck bathroom Sam a second time for helping to create that.
And the spot where Walmart wanted to build on Jantzen Beach is a GD eyesore right now and the first thing you see crossing into Oregon. So much better than seeing a Walmart though.

Even with Chinslee involved, compare and contrast the new riverfront development in Vancouver with the Janzen Beach area. Portland has had horrible leadership and is dead city walking. After every NBA All-Star game, they start talking about what it would take to get the all-star game to Portland. A clean and safe city would be a start but the current solution is to spend money with no accountability and get people into sanctioned camps which they won't do because of drug and alcohol restrictions.
