No honest fan would. But it’s important to note that UW basically gave up on football for the first half of those 25 years which comprise the bulk of the Duckade. If you go back to the Pete hire which is slightly over that halfway point, UW is 5-6 vs UO. And each school has a couple of CFP runs. Pete’s hire marks the point when things got a bit more balanced. We sucked ass this year, but I don’t see another Duckade being in the cards.

By 2021 UW was willing to “lynch” - as you put it - a POC to try harder at football winning. That’s a big departure from 2007.
 
By 2021, you'd gone through the 0-12 season, and the 12 years in a row. Things had changed. But in 2005 the glory of being "Northwest Champs" was still fresh. You were trying, doesn't mean you didn't suck at trying but you were trying.
