If I was a 17 year old kid with muscular distrophy, this whole charade would be insulting to me. This is fine for retards who actually think they are scoring a TD in a college football game but if you're of a sound mind, it has to be humiliating.

A similar situation is the trend over the last few years of high schools voting the kids with Down Syndrome or autism into the homecoming courts. It's a great way for people to pat themselves on the back.

When I was in high school they would vote nerds or retards all the time.
Some dumb fat gross chick won prom queen and a nerdy Asian guy won prom king.

I was sober too because I had been suspended for 2 weeks for drinking at the prior dance a couple weeks before.
Bastards were watching me like a hawk.
 
Urban does something like this every year for the good feel of it, he's not really about it and it comes across as fake as shit. Can't even stand watching it. Do it behind closed doors and it's more special.

Grunts giving half their paychecks to buy Gooks toothbrushes: winning of hearts and minds.

I had a kid play for us one time with a mental handicap. One of the "isms" I believe. Anyways, his mother asked me before the season started if there was a way I could get him into a game. I was very honest and told her that if he learned what to do on one play and wasn't a danger to himself or his teammates I would. This kid was massive; 6'3"ish and about 270lbs, but BFN (Big For Nothing).

He learned his job at right guard on our ISO play so when our JV guys were up by 50 on some shit stain school I went down on the sideline sent him in there and told them to run the ISO right to him ten or twelve times. He smashed the shit out of that scrub JV kid lined up in front of him. We even scored another touchdown and had to fill out a blowout form after the game because the AIA is ran by pussies.

His family was crying and hugging all of our coaching staff after the game because we didn't just hand Baby Huey a ball and have 20 people fall down in front of him as one person shows him where the end zone is because their ass couldn't find the 10 yard long, 52.5 yard wide area without it. We proved to them their son wasn't helpless, which is so much better than the gimme touchdown alternative.

The next year he was a senior and we had to cut him. No seniors on JV, AIA rule. Plus he was like 23. Why do handicapped kids go to school for so long? Is that the government's way of saying sorry for your bad luck, we will cover daycare for a few extra years? I'm rambling.

Long story longer, gimme touchdowns do nothing for anyone.
