At least the polls are consistent. Losing to SEC has long been better than winning. That's why half the SEC is ranked all the time. Frankly, they should schedule a 9th conference game so half the conference benefits from that extra loss.

Nothing worse than getting overrated in the polls during or after scrimmage season, then shitting down your leg when conference play starts. It's always better to have an upward trajectory.

I have never seen a good UW team fail to get respect in the polls by the time they matter though, at least not in my adult life. We've been overrated in the early season more than I can count though

Beat UCLA and beat Oregon and UW will be right where it needs to be. Don't do that and it really doesn't matter.

If this is the case, then you want Oregon and USC and Utah ranked higher. Makes your wins worth more if/when you get them. I would love for the pollsters to have UCLA ranked in the top 10.

I'm not sure about the other PAC teams but UW has proven enough to be where they're at but not higher. They've now beaten an FCS team and 3 okish 7-5 teams as it turns out. There's still tons of upside but it's not like they have any true top 25 wins (thanks msu)
