Its the same concept that he ran here. Grubb hates to take the 3-6 yards every play vs that defense until he absolutely has to. It was a mirror of the cal game. Hopefully we run it better next year and set up the big plays on double moves and play action. In the second half they took what they were giving us and our rb’s did just enough.

Every tim Kwat dialed up a blitz in the second half it seemed that Penix had a screen called right behind it. Great second half by the offense. Not sure I've watched UW run so many successful screen plays since the early 90's. Pete tried during his tenure and they were always mysteriously blown up.

Disagree. Take what they give you, get the DBs to creep up because they get tired of getting nickel and dimed to death underneath and with the run game, then you hit them deep and the game is over. We made it harder on ourselves than we needed to.

This sums up my thoughts as well.

If Pete K can do anything, it's disrupt a QBs rhythm.

Still, the shots were there and Penix couldn't hit the big one.

My worry is that, if this were an NY6/Playoff game, UW's defense wouldve gotten boatraced and the offense wouldn't have kept up. Sloppiest 10 point halftime lead of all time.

That being said, we are rich, cool, 11-2, and won a bowl game against a big dick program for the first time in fucking forever.
