Way to go, Seattle PD. This will show 'em. They're not going to pull that shit again.

Paragraph 1 Reaction - well, that's refreshing
"The Seattle Police Department said Thursday that it has arrested 35 suspects who allegedly stole tens of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise taken from a downtown store."
[/i]
End of Story Reactions - so the bad guys have been released and are banned from the store for a year. Yup, that's one hell of a deterrent.
"Police said the investigating officers stopped the suspects, recovered the items and issued a trespass notice, which prohibits the person from returning to the store for a year. The suspects were then released from the scene although one man was booked into the King County on an outstanding warrant.

It was not immediately clear what would happen if the suspects return to the store before their year-long ban ends."[/i]

Answer: If they return to the store, they’ll be cited for trespassing (IF caught) and released.

My dad had a small business in Downtown so long ago I'm pretty sure Race was 25 when he sold it. Anyway, I wonder what he'd do, not being a gun toter.

Merchants need to act like this:

Something about getting shot in the face might make others rethink their tendencies.

14-year-old working at family’s pizzeria fired the shot. Most likely will be criminally prosecuted. Unjustifiable use of force.

The thief (who survived) will most likely be very rich depending on the severity of his injuries and related disabilities if he lives. If not, his heirs will prosper.

Just speculating . . .

Until the transition happens, I'm guessing hopefully these people are booked and arrested in the coming year.
