Washington vs Oregon Rivarly 10 Year Fupdate

It's not bad. The chopping things into different years is a mixed bag though. The best window for UW is to say post-Chip Kelly era (counting Helfrich as essentially a caretaker of the Kelly era) and they're 5-3 and all the numbers skew more UW. Funny that the 2021 Jimmy debacle was damn near a one possession game.
Both programs got massive QB luck to get their biggest seasons of the era post-Kelly era.
 
Alternatively, if you throw out all the times Oregon has won, Washington is undefeated in the all-time H2H matchup.

Nice revisionist history fellas. Oregon has beaten UW dozens of times. What you're failing to recognize is we LET them win.

I do enjoy it thoroughly the last eight years. In particular the last two. It's better this way. It's as if all of the universe's wrongs have been righted. For now. The Empire will strike back, I'm sure. Bad analogy. What movies do the Rebels lose? Gettysburg? It's more like that.

Also I think both with 3 conference championships, although the Covid one for Oregon is a joke. They still won the game.

GMFG beast and fail, followed by Jojo etc. We were right there. Gotta make that tackle. 17-7 at the time. If we made that tackle it's UW 67 Bama 17. I've never been so sure of anything in my life. Jake was locked and loaded. That was the hinge. Turned right there. We will never see what could have been.

The "best record" format while still playing divisional schedules in 2022 was ultra fucked up and probably cost them another title. Still, don't lose to ASU. I'll never recognize the Fauci year title.
 
What's really sad is how close we were to 2-8 head to head were it not for Big Dick Mike Penix, the ultimate BONEM QB of all time.
I need to buy that kid a beer for making my life in Central Oregon so much more enjoyable.

Yeah, but you can also say if they don't luck into Herbert there's a great chance UW is 7-1 since 2016.
 
It wasn't even a proper "best record" format. It was a scoring system that rewarded the best loss. UW still could have jumped Utah if Cal beat UCLA which is insane.

It's come up before, but it was probably actually a good thing because most likely if UW wins the Pac-12, they just go to the Rose Bowl and win or lose against Penn State, I bet most of the guys who came back leave. Deboer probably also know he's fucked because he can't recruit and does some lateral move like take the Nebraska or Auburn job.

And going forward in 18 team conferences with 9 conference games the tiebreakers to determine who gets to play for a conference title and a shot at a CFP bye (and a top 2 seed for teams in the B1G or SEC) are going to be amazing.
