Washington State Democrats meet in secret to plot an income tax

Yeah, rich people don't own property or employ people. Your MBA must have missed out on how businesses work. According to the internet a $3 million dollar home would pay almost $26,000 a year in property taxes in King County. Seems pretty progressive to me. Some poets from 1971. Pre-MAGA?

You mean someone in King County with a $3 million house and a $1.5 million annual income might pay a whole $26,000 in state taxes?
The horror!
What would that person pay in state taxes in Oregon, Idaho, or Montana? Does anyone own a business or employ people in those God forsaken places?
This reeks of envy
Sales tax, and other non-income tax are your taxes. Despite that the people have spoken on income tax time and time again, you and Olympia don't seem to get it. WA Congress can't help itself with spending and all of the in flux of modern grifters support it, so the beat goes on
Does WA have a highly regressive tax system? Yes. But a majority of the shit poor people complain about would not be an issue if we actually addressed problems instead of throwing money at useless causes with feckless leadership

Envy? You're confused.
I make out like a bandit not having an income tax in Washington.
But it is terrible policy to have the monied class paying a lesser percentage in taxes than everyone else.

It’s also a big consideration of why big companies decided to be based here.

My sources are telling me that the corpse known as Sen. Patty Murray is in a panic about the WA legislature plowing ahead with the suicide act income tax and is telling Ferguson and WA Dems to drop the proposal, now.

“Hang on until we can steal the Presidency/Congress in 2028 so federal taxpayers can bail us out” seems to be their best option. Any income tax is going to cause more earners to leave the PNW.

What fascinates/disgusts me is how leftards willfully ignore history, common sense and actual economic and societal responses to their policies and just continue to spew the socialist dogma and globalist utopian policies like open borders and defunding of the police. The Ace man nails it.

QUESTION ASKED AND ANSWERED: How did San Francisco become such an abomination of a city? As Adam Carolla notes, “San Francisco represents the progressive movement at its purest form. This is when they get to do everything they want. That’s San Francisco. And so I’m not even going to make a judgment call. I’m just going to say take a bunch of Americans, show them San Francisco then, show them San Francisco now, and go this is the result of them doing everything they want.”

In a similar blue state vein if you want more societal destruction just don't prosecute property crimes. After all that is what car insurance is for.

Overdrive

Our friend Mark Perry notes that car thefts in Minneapolis this year over the months of January and February per 100,000 residents are almost 9 times the rate in Chicago: 246.3 vs. 28.5. That’s based on 776 motor vehicle thefts in Chicago with a population of 2.72 million vs. 1,054 auto thefts in Minneapolis, with a population of 428,000.

Mark thinks this is news and asks where the local press is. It might be otherwise occupied by the illusion that United States Attorney Dan Rosen will be held in contempt and carted off to prison in shackles as Minnesota’s federal district bench oversees ICE’s “Department of Lost and Found.” On the other hand, the local press might just be slow on the pick-up.

That limey toothed bitch has never been successful persuading anyone over anything in her entire career.
