Washington remains unranked but Nebraska is ranked?

UW is winning against Michigan in the Big House and then beating ranked Illinois rather easily at home the next weekend.
I am a realist. Last year I was more optimistic than I should've been, but I called for 8 wins and it was there for the taking.
Avoid the let downs against B1G trash and a greased up UCLA, and UW is playing Oregon for a potential conference championship game appearance.
Indiana and Ohio State can each lose a game and they'll still be in the CCG.
Hot take: neither team is losing a game anyway.
Focus on Michigan. They suck, so UW should win rather easily. Yes, 34-17.
This is the correct take. Washington should be looking at Michigan like they're going to go rub salt in the wound. UW is a better roster, a better staff, and they're in a better place as a program if you're ignoring all the dead internet shit.
Demond should beat them. They're going to play their 2023 stuff and act like they should win because of brand.
I don’t think it will be close. UW is just better than Michigan. If UW gets up two scores early and underwood is forced to throw, it could get really ugly.

I don't necessarily disagree with the theory here, but what makes anyone believe UW will get up by two scores early? They certainly couldn't do it at Maryland or at home against friggin' Rutgers.

@TheHB

I think Michigan is going to be reeling coming off of last week’s performance in LA. I don’t think Moore is the type of coach to have them on their feet ready to bounce back. But maybe him wearing his “blue collar auto repair shop” jacket to practice today (yes he actually did this) will do the trick.

I’m of the opinion that Michigan losing in LA will have them more focused on beating Washington at home. I’m still unclear how to use the term greased up or where it came from but I’m thinking Saturday Michigan might be very greasy given our road/first half issues.

There is some serious dooging going on with a number of you seemingly to believe beating Michigan at home isn’t a huge challenge. We have still only won one road game in the B1G and it took coming back from 20 down. 9am start isn’t ideal and I’d like UW to travel on Wednesday for road games east of LA and Eugene.

I’ve written this game off as a loss long ago, however, after watching Michigan, damn, they aren’t very good.

This is a big gayme, if we go to the big haus and win, Jud will be rolling without even playing a solid 4qtr game, and everything is in play. If we? lose it’s a negadoog wet dream
I’m shaking and about ready to vomit thinking about this game

After looking at both schedules played, I can't get worked up about this. Really similar and I think we're flipped in rankings if we perhaps put up a TD and kept it a little closer vs OSU.

It's mid-October so it will get sorted out over the next six weeks. Nevertheless, Washington is 5-1 but unranked, but Nebraska is 5-1 with a more miserable and pathetic schedule and they're ranked? In the eloquent words of @CFetters_Nacho_Lover… "huh?"
Cincinnati and South Florida are ranked but the Huskies are not?
This is horseshit
Holy fuckall!
Thanks Taft!

How can Indiana lose a game and be ahead of UW, if UW wins out?
Depends on which team defeats them and a series of tiebreakers about common opponent records. So, it's feasible.
It's far more likely that IU wins out (barring a UCLA-esque turnaround by Penn State) and UW loses at least 1 more game.
Beat Michigan. Nothing else matters. They suck.
Farming again for upvotes, eh Flatus?

we're losing this game. Judd will be full of excuses about travel, and he'll say, "they're a real tough team!"

Nothing about this game feels good, and I'll think we're losing until the clock reads 0:00 and we have more points than them.

Reasons why we'll lose:
  1. Judd doesn't take accountability and blames players.
  2. 9AM kickoff.
  3. our lines aren't good enough
  4. To beat Michigan, you have to get up early and force them to throw. Literally the opposite of what we've been able to do against every big10 opponent so far.
  5. Michigan losing to USC last week will have them focused and ready

I think they could lose this game, beat Illinois and still have a lot of good feels heading to the home stretch.

He’s not making excuses. He expects to win.

We’ve gotten more free pub this week being unranked vs being #24 or something. Win and you probably are no worse than #20. Lose to this shit Michigan coach and we don’t deserve to be ranked all year.
