Funny you mention the Wild Swede. My mind automatically went to Jacob Sirmon. The fact this kid is not from the state of Washington gives me hope. Even the kid from Tacoma that all the services seem to love gives me pause. The state hasn’t produced a good college QB since what, Brett Rypien? Is that right? Jesus, 12 years?

It's been a depressing drought for instate QBs. I wanted the Tacoma kid but he's been falling down the TBS rankings for a long time and I feel like I heard UW was interested if he committed early but he seemed to be pining for an Oregon offer.

I had completely forgotten about Jacob Sirmon
 
I watched a couple minutes. Seems like he gets the ball out quick and he's not a statue in the pocket. Not a ton of passes beyond 20 yards so it was tough to tell how strong of an arm he has. Seems like he goes to his first read 81% of the time.

His quick release is somethin. He wasn't even stepping into half those throws and they were still pretty zippy. Methinks his arm strength will be at least good. It would be nice to see more deep balls in his senior highlight reel.

I've conceded I can't tell shit about which QBs will translate to the college level from high school or not and players in general other than what physical tools they do or don't have. I'll take a big guy though if he can move. Feels like the ceiling on the 6'0 and under guys Judd loves is fucking low.
