What sort of record player do you have?

That’s question 1. Question 2 is: will you ever have as many records as me.

I still need the answer to question 1, but I’m sofa king cool I already know the answer to Q2.

Record player? GTFO

Rega RP3 with Rega Exact 3 cart. This TT dominates the $1200 to $1500 price point for belt drives. The Mt Rushmore of turntable manufacturers is Technics, Rega, Linn and Thorens.

I’m about 600 LPs in the collection.

So DDY, here's the current Rega Planar 3 which is $1200 to $1600 depending on cart installed. This deck will easily beat the older SL 1200's for sound. But it's no frill, belt drive.

If you're feeling really rich then go with the Planar 6 which @Gilbystaint has.

So we've got the olds downloading songs and the yoots like me buying vinyl by the crate load.

We were recently at Camden Market and my 17 year old daughter bought a vinyl Louis Armstrong album. Had to get her a cheap record player for her birthday. Meanwhile I’m digitizing everything.

Yes.

I got really into Peaky Blinders on Netflix a while back. Camden was the end point for all the canal boats they used coming down from Birmingham. I want to rent a canal boat some day and just cruise around England like gypsy.
