It just surprises me how hypocritical some people are. To freak out about schools bringing up religion, then agree with them discrediting it is stupid. If you believe in God that's your choice, if not, that's also your choice. Leave the fucking schools out of it. Science does not have to go toe to toe with Religion. Teach science, let the kids parents teach the religion or no religion. The PUBLIC SCHOOL teacher was wrong to attack God, but would also be wrong to attempt to convert a non believing student into believing in God. Plain and simple.

The teacher did not tell her to deny god or get a failing grade -- the local news interviewed other kids from the same class, and the girl in the video (or her mom) either lied to start trouble -- or the girl just completely misunderstood the assignment -- probably a combination of a girl that didn't understand, and a mom that wanted to stir the hornets nest and play the victim of the oppressive school district.

Sounds like quality journalism from the sites Derek likes to post, fails yet again.
