You guys have always been wrong about this.
Why would devs want something that just causes more work for them and that their users never liked in the first place?

I told Derek to delete my post bc it's unproductive for him and the site. He obviously doesn't want this situation.
But I started a new thread with the inane train gif bc I couldn't reply to posts. Most of us don't know what to fix because we can't use most features afforded by the previous version.
Sending kind but direct feedback abouy functionality to Derek is the better approach.
 
You have to just refresh the page and then the chat control shows up.
It took me an embarrassingly long time to figure that out. But they shouldn't have that issues in the first place.
 
If you aren't happy with the new changes, just create your own Huskie football hobby board.
 
I am trying to stay calm but my frustration level is high. It is difficult when ultimately I am responsible for everything and yet I don't have total control. Technically speaking I could find us a new home, but that's impractical at this time for multiple reasons.

If they can’t, or won’t, fix what seems like elementary functionality issues, it’s tim for a new home.

While I agree with a couple posters above about a new home, it's not that simple. To simplify for retards, it's not like walking out of the McDonald's in a huff and going across the street to Taco Time.
I spent about two hours in the middle of the night looking once again for new possible homes. I'm not an IT guy but I know what appeals to me aesthetically. Everything I looked at either last night or during the summer looked like some sort of GEOCities or Dawgboard type of site.
But what we're doing is not working.
 
Derek, are there any options that allow you to migrate the years of threads we've accumulated on this platform? You've got a lot of equity in all this nonsense. I agree it would possibly be worse to start from zero posts.
Why do they keep fuck with things? It was so good for a long time. Feels like Sonos management.
 
I used to hang out on a car forum and a car detailing forum. This was peak forums era - probably 2005 - 2010. The traffic on those sites is probably a tenth of what they used to have, in part, because that specific car model went out of production and there are always bigger and better cars to move on to. I think the detailing site went bust mostly because the professional personality moved on to another company and people followed him.
The hosts / owners of those sites tried to migrate/integrate secondary hosting via social media platforms which never really worked well at all as they don't have the necessary functionality of what a forum offers.
ATBS, a sports forum still makes sense to me because the content or product around which it's based never expires.
 
This shit is unusable at this point. Not opening to where you left off is fucking retarded, I don’t even know what the reaction buttons do, and it’s too wide for my phone. Fuck this right in the ass.

This is a BIG FUCK YOU from the developers that most likely have taken a glance at the TUG. For them it’s their warped principle over this community and they probably don’t give a shit if Derek walks or 99% of us are unhappy with their shitty product that gets worse weekly since July.
