The No. 17 Washington softball team completed the series road sweep of Michigan, defeating the Wolverines 10-7 Sunday afternoon at Hutchins Stadium for their 16th straight win.
The winning streak matches the Huskies’ longest since 2019, and UW earned its third Big Ten sweep to improve to 9-0 in conference play, the best conference start in program history.
Alexis DeBoer hammered a three-run home run, her 12th of the season, to put the Huskies up 3-1 in the top of the first.
Ally Hetzel, who finished the day 3 for 3, blasted her first of two home runs in the bottom of the third to tie things up at 4-4. Hetzel recorded her first multi-HR game of her collegiate career, later notching a three-run homer in the top of the sixth.
DeBoer finished 2 for 5 with four RBI, and Sophi Mazzola went 2 for 4 with a double and a run scored for the Huskies (26-6, 9-0 Big Ten).
Morgan Reimer tossed the final four innings for UW, allowing just one unearned run on three hits for her 17th win over the season.

Washington travels for a midweek matchup with Loyola Chicago on Tuesday before making its way to Iowa on Friday for another Big Ten series.
