Sounds like we're stealing kids from Cal and UCLA.

Looking at those GPA and SAT stats it looks like the talent level is being taken to a whole new level. 2017 is going to be special. (also, isn't 1238 a bad score in the new SAT system?)

It sounds like you didn't do so well on the reading part of the SAT. The score quoted is for math and reading only. That's what the old SAT used to be. So its 1238 out of 1600. The new SAT has a writing component that makes the total point possible 2400.
