UW Couch Sales & Purchases (Portal Tracker)

I was assured Fisch would be pulling DTs from Clemson, Oklahoma and Wisconsin when all of ours left. Waiting
Who said that? You’re such a fucking downer. Look who they pulled last year. That’s about what they’ve signed so far. They still need another fat guy and a big bodied edge player and the line will pretty much be equal to what was rolled out last year.

I like the Sac St lineman. Deshawn Lynch came from Sac St., he was good at UW. McLaughlan also came from the Big Sky. Another good player. Why shit on the kid now? Wait until he’s earned it or not to pass judgement.

Udub beat no one worthy for these guys and they suck until they don’t.

I don't want to AIDS up the thread and call people out. Calling me a downer tells me you need to pm Irishdawg because I'm on the doog spectrum

I love the few guys that have panned out from FCS over the years but it's probably close to 10-15% rate with those guys hitting as starters. Walters did well with no stars on defense but the offense doesn't appear to be getting better next year either without an RB1 or WR1 (and our qb1 with 1.5 feet out the door) so if Walters need to win every game himself he's going to need some playmakers around the line other than Elenius

I trust this staff to bring in transfers who will make an impact. That doesn't mean that offensive play-calling couldn't improve in tandem with Demond's decision making.

There is an RB1 and WR1 for 2026 but they are true frosh (Bonner and Clay). My hopium is that Rashid Williams is fully healthy and develops into a WR1 now that he's a RS-JR and DeGraaf makes a jump as a true JR.

I do think that the transfer DT from Miss State (Kai McClendon) will either be a starter or the first DT off the sideline. "In his true freshman 2024 season McClendon was one of the rare bright spots for the unit, playing in all dozen games and starting five times. He took over at one of the tackle spots for the Arkansas game and started there for the rest of the season."

McClendon tore his knee in July of 2025 so he should be ready to go for fall ball in August of 2025. He will only be a RS-Soph too so he should stick around for at least two seasons.

Saw a tweet that UW still has ~8 guys in the portal that haven't been picked up, and 2 of them are the Parker twins. One guy got picked up by Portland State.

Some DeBoer guys, some early Jedd guys. It's their fault if they fuck up these roster moves but it looks like most were simply told to gtfo.

While I never watched Epperson's film, it surprises me that he dropped down to Portland State. Maybe he wants a chance to play as a RS-Frosh and then hopes to get enough film out there to bounce back up.

Maximus McCree just popped to the Cougs and Macon just popped to Okie State.

I saw that. Think our fans are a little bit dramatic about the portal. There's some truth to their bitching, for sure, but there isn't some magical formula balancing all your talent.

People shrieking when guys enter the portal and shriek when UW brings guys in from the portal. I’ll tell you in week 5 next year if any of the new portal guys suck. My guess is the new players will help the team on a whole more than the group that left would have. Butler is the only guy that I was really sad to see go. Everyone else? Meh.

Butler was the biggest loss IMHO. It's tough to replace an experienced RS-SR DT who is big and moves pretty well. But we don't have a multi-billionaire former player ponying up like Texas Tech does.

Mohammed was unfortunate but a Limar + Bonner combo to replace him is a-ok with me.

All of the other guys don't really both me. It would have been nice to have Paki back but the staff is clearly higher on Mills and Champ T. (and Greene).

There was an anonymous tweet responding about Mohammad, the kind of shit you hear from parents/relatives/agent, that the issue was he knew we weren't going to run the ball enough.

Chinteresting. We(?) were pretty balanced in 2024 and 2025. I'm not sure he's the best pass blocker so that could have been part of the comment. IIRC, Coleman had much better blitz pick-ups.
