Finau was the highest graded Olineman for UW in the Sun Bowel.. For whatever it’s worth. Thought he did a great job
Yeah someone blocked a guy a handful of times. I believe it was him.Finau was the highest graded Olineman for UW in the Sun Bowel.. For whatever it’s worth. Thought he did a great job
@priapism??!!?? True??!!??LFG!! Walters running press man to man with 7-8 guys crowding the box gives me priapism. Now, can Fish call an offense that scores more than 22ppg? That’s the concern. 34 against Louisvilles second string defense doesn’t count.Tacario donged to UW by Biggins
Push up the middle and heat from the edge.Gusta and M’ba would be a couple nice additions. Not sure how edge is used in a Walters defense. Are they there to hold the edge or push the pocket? Does the pressure come from outside speed rushes or from confusing stunts and twists up the middle? I’m here for it. 2024 is done and gone, I’m attempting to charge to maximin Doog for a 2025 run.WSU has a DL guy (Gusta) that they should go hard after. He's the #3 dl in the portal. Absolutely need to get 2-3 decent dl/edge guys (not of the "good depth" variety)
He's not 6'8; look at him when he's standing next to Azzopardi between plays and you can see it. D.A. might be a legit 6'7 but he's taller than Faasolo.I don't know, Faasolo is a legit 6'8" and those guys don't tend to hold up well against 6'3" DTs who have much better leverage.Faasalos feet are better suited inside than out. He reminds me of when Huff tried to make Beulow an OT.Willis is legit. Wouldn't be surprised to see Faasolo moved inside.Tacario Davis has a new crystal ballz to UW. That must mean Dixon is going pro.
As for the OL, let's say they don't take another OL (partly due to no great player being available and partly due to room). Would this be a good OL?
LT: McCree / Jackett
LG: Finau OR Henning
C: Hatchett / Watkins
RG: Hatchett / Champ T.
RT: Carver Willis / Faasolo OR Azzopardi (Azzopardi may hit the portal, he's not starting quality in the B1G).
Finau received reps yesterday at LG and RT. I'd like to see him at LG in 2025.
Faasolo is an RT to me, not quick enough to stick at LT but 1 more year of experience would serve him well technique-wise to play RT.
But it will be chinteresting to see where the staff wants Finau (will be a RS-Frosh in 2025) and Champ may be ready to play some snaps at OG as a true frosh.
@theknowledge McLaughlan is 6’2” 190 and Christian is 6’1” 196. With an offseason of P4 nutrition and training I’ll bet both tip the scales at or over 200lbs by fall camp. That’s plenty big for the BIG.
Hope you're right because the pics I saw they're skinny AF and their arms are twigs.
Dom Hampton’s first four years at UW say hi!Earl Thomas8.0
Size and weight are nice if you have great football fundamentals, but getting big guys that are shitty fundamentally and lack intelligence is not good.

Good new cause he wouldn’t contribute or because it frees up a spot for a better OL?Per Huffman, 400 lb OL Peter Langi has been granted release from his LOI and is flipping to Arizona. This is likely good news. The chance this guy would have contributed was pretty slim.

Good because it frees up a scholarship while Arizona spends time and resources getting him into a healthy and productive weight before he transfers back as a starterGood new cause he wouldn’t contribute or because it frees up a spot for a better OL?Per Huffman, 400 lb OL Peter Langi has been granted release from his LOI and is flipping to Arizona. I'm guessing they asked him to gray shirt, but he was probably 6th out of the 6 OL we're bringing inIt sounds like he is a little bitter?Good because it frees up a scholarship while Arizona spends time and resources getting him into a healthy and productive weight before he transfers back as a starterGood new cause he wouldn’t contribute or because it frees up a spot for a better OL?Per Huffman, 400 lb OL Peter Langi has been granted release from his LOI and is flipping to Arizona. They obviously fat shamed him when he failed to lose weight.
