Hatchett’s season-ending injury was to his biceps. I feel slightly better. No ACL, achilles, etc.

Would’ve preferred Faasolo. Tafai seems like a good inside guy at the least. A Kalepo, if you will.
Fisch said he was going to have some "tough conversations" with kids. I'm sure in some of these cases, he told them "look, you can stick around but just so you know, we'll be looking for someone in the portal at your position." Others are probably listening to dumb people in their family saying "go out there and get paid, young man." A guy like Kahlee Tafai was not highly recruited out of high school. No other school at this level is going to offer him a spot or a dime of NIL money. His options are essentially remove yourself from the portal or go play at the FCS level

That's fair and it will be chinteresting to see if he leaves or comes back. It may be that UW is waiting to see who they can get along with what offers Tafai can get. Maybe they are feeling better about Jackett at LT?

UW should find an FCS school that can be our developmental league where players can go for a year or two, get playing time, and then transfer up

I'm starting to Doog a little for the OL next year after the comings and goings. I read that Jackett returned to limited practice a month ago so these 15 bowl practices are especially helpful for him. So this is my updated two-deeps for 2025:
LT: RS-JR McCree / RS-Soph Jackett
LG: RS-JR Moe (Portal guess) / RS-Frosh Finau
C: JR Hatchett / RS-Frosh Watkins
RG: RS-SR Hatchett / RS-Soph Henning
RT: RS-JR Azzopardi OR RS-Soph Faasolo
RS-SR William Reed from Princeton is another option in the portal since he has played a ton, has many quality offers, and could challenge at RT or OG.

Not sure I'm that excited without a premier portal OT. Interior should be an upgrade, but the tackles still look weak sauce.

Quickly becoming Chicken Little that we are not actually going to do shit in the portal. Hatchett would have been much better to have this year than next if he would have stayed healthy. Sounds like Moe isn't considering UW?

I assume fish will strike out on everyone worth a damn in the portal. Until proven otherwise I’ll just keep the expectations low. BTW these portal rankings are gay. Azzopardi was listed as a big get in the winter portal last year. How accurate are these “rankings” and who’s compiling them anyway?
What was the deal with the high Azzopardi ranking? I think it created a thought that he was an instant stud when I don't actually know where that came from. I thought he was some kind of All Mountain West guy but turned out he wasn't even a full time starter.
