He signed with Deboer and company and had no better offers after they left so he stayed. He popped a little bit last year. Enough as a true freshman for other schools to take notice and dangle offers. Belichick leaves so he has an excuse to leave and maybe likes him who the fuck knows? North Carolina feels like a school that is going to overspend to try and become a contender in college football.
Maybe I'll watch some North Carolina games next year so I can listen to the announcers talk about how Steve Belichick likes to dial of pressure or some shit and then watch the one guy he sends get picked up and disappear into the OL every third down, unless it's UCLA.
 
The only awards banquet award that has ever mattered in the history of UW football was boosters and Adidas stepping in in 2022 and giving Penix the big dick gunslinger "award".
 
Agents are a huge problem here and have no reason to exist in college or high school football and need to fuck off. I would argue they don't need to exist in pro sports either, but whatever. They're likely responsible for misinformation getting out there and driving up prices and manipulating kids to move and threaten to move, because guess what? The more the kids get paid, the more they get paid. Oh, and they're likely to make more money if kids are transferring or at least threatening to.
Also, what's to keep a rival school from stirring shit with other rosters by floating offers that they don't actually want to give just to get other schools to have to spend more money or cut a kid loose to some dumbfuck overspender like A&M, Ole Miss, or Missouri.
 
Yeah the agents have gone from convincing a kid to leave for the NFL long before they're ready, to now convincing a kid to switch schools 3+ times fucking over their entire future so that they can get their cut before the kid finds out the the NFL doesn't really want them anymore.

Well you can continue to bitch about Alabama poaching DeBoer and Dannen leaving for Nebraska after the National Championship game or you can give money to Montlake Futures to give the budget a boost.

I believe UW is trying to figure out how to win, but then people are just turning around and bitch about a World of Warcraft logo/video during a game.
The hilarious thing about it is that this is literally what those same people kept saying UW needed to do: go get fucking Microsoft money (they bought Blizzard who makes the game). Well there ya go, Microsoft gave us 7 figures+ for almost no effort.
Not saying you were one of them, but a lot of the old fans are massive hypocrites and/or just stupid.
