Bump re: my HadenFS comment. How much easier would it be for him to come to a rational decision at this juncture? Granted, that game didn't mean a whole lot but the plungering at the very least doesn't look good from the outside. Now Helton's forced to fire the whole defensive staff to shift the focus and save face in the background.
Where even if he was hired tomorrow, he could publicly address that his first priority is to fix the defense and it would actually look better if he had the chance to publicly wipe his hands of any responsibility. That and there are still a couple coaches on D there that deserve a job. Sirmon and Heyward are good coaches.
But either way you spin it, this just further proves why I love HadenFS. SC will be formidable but won't scare anybody for the next few years.
