USC Scrimmage Observations

Penalties don't matter as long as you get lots of plays off. Trooojans will be excited after they see the Seven's vaunted offense in full throttle mode. The scrimmage was just a glimpse of what the season will hold.

Sark's system is designed to get the offense a lot of rest. It works great too. Rest up, lull the D to sleep with extremely brief possessions or 7 play drives that stall at the 50, then hit them hard after they relax. Why all of you can't see that this is cutting edge is beyond me.

And it will remain sloppy for as long as SSS is there. He never learns from his mistakes and never improves as coach.

Anyway, USC will eventually find a coach who will crisp things up for them. Until then, it will be fun to go check out the Troojans' message boards.
