Yup, blueshirts and greyshirts have no guarantee of a scholarship. These kids are rolling the dice, as well as paying tuition for 1 semester of USC.

I think that is untrue for a gray shirt. The moment they enroll in usc their eligibility clock starts ticking.

Essentially they are holding their dicks for a year (ideally training) and waiting for a schollie the next cycle.

Blue shirt is just a fancy way to say preferred walk on. They do have to pay their own way while they prove worthy of a schollie.
