USC CB Shaw saves nephew, injures self in process

Shucks those types of sprains last a long time. Especialy for a corner who relies on explosive movements in every direction which puts the hurt on the ankles. Sorry Sark!
 
He's probably out for at least 2 months at least from being a productive player standpoint ...

I was just thinking this ...

The stars couldn't have aligned any better for Sark.

Two freshman on the OL ... sprained ankles ... new coach in Fresno ...

How in the hell is he expected to win!
 
The story is a bit vague... was Shaw jumping to land in the pool? ...but fell short and landed on the concrete next to it? Ouch.

But props to him for risking his health to save a struggling toddler in a pool.
 
Definitely an OKG. Takes balls to jump off a 2nd floor balcony I to concrete.

Now the bad part is the patented Sark Excuse Machine will fire up and he gets to blame a loss or 2 on a high character kid who sacrificed to save his nephew.

i took it as he saw his toddler nephew going into the water and he jumped from the 2nd floor onto concrete to save him and when his ankles blew he crawled over to get the kid out. i think this is a pretty awesome move - pure instinct. kudos to Shaw.

I know you're being sarkastic but 7 year olds aren't toddlers.

This is probably why I've never been this kind of a hero... or a Pac 12 caliber safety... but if it's me, I take the split second it takes to think "I should jump for that water... not for the concrete".

Sark paid the Armenian-Irish mob to take a bat to the kids ankles so he could play the injuries and youth cards this year. That's what I'm hearing.
