Disagree. Lynn Swann will "retire" at the end of the school year June 2020, as the new President cleans house, which if it hasn't allready been discussed by his bosses yet, will be in the next 90 days.

Yes, they have a ton of $ issues and legal settlements that they are going to have to deal with, but it won't be a hard sell to their boosters down there to say "For x amount of money to get Urban, one year from today we will be the huge odds on favorite to be the Pac-12 Champion every year, and one of the 5 teams every year with a legitimate shot at the Playoffs (for the last several years it's been essentially Bama/Clemson/Oklahoma/Buckeyes). SC with Urban Meyer sits at that table with that group in 2021 and stays until he leaves.

The only good coach they've had in the past 30 years is Pete and they fucked up the hiring process and didn't want him.

USC is the Tennessee of the PAC 12. They used to be big stuff, relevant, played in the big games. Now they're just another team in the conference. No one is scared to play them. Even though they're still a recruiting machine like the Vols, they have bozo coaches and a floundering administration. Might be 30 years before they win anything of note.

So, getting to the point here, I had an opportunity to ask Whittingham about Urban to USC. It was during a booster luncheon today. Full disclosure, I'm a bottom rung Crimson Club member so I'm a fucking knowbody which is why I'm here. Kyle and Urban are truly close friends. Urban was here visiting the U, probably a Fox Sports function, don't really know. Urban spent the night at Kyle's house. After all the ball sauce swapping, they talked football. In response to my question to Kyle regarding Urban to USC, I expected to hear something along the lines of "Urban is done and he's out for good.". But no, he said and I'm paraphrasing, once the season starts and the juices start flowing, he'll get offers and he's certainly going to field them.

So there it is, Urban to USC. You're fucked and I'm fucked. This is the only year we, Utah has a shot. You fuckers can keep you're heads up your Petermen ass all you want, but when Urban arrives at USC we're all playing for second.

What did Kelly do in the NFL? Basically alienated himself and his players.

He may be a football "genius" and at the time a systems genius but he's not a people genius.

It's possible that he caught lightning in a bottle at Oregon with everything aligning just right. The times, the players, system, Nike money ...

But now people are more innovative and accepting of new things, people are better at everything and especially have embraced recruiting.

The one thing that Kelly hates. He hates recruiting.

How is he going to win with okay talent? He's not.

I think he'll be okay at UCLA but he's not going to reach the heights back at Oregon.

He went 1-15 his last year in the NFL. For all the talk about Savanna or Pete Carroll failing in the NFL, they never went 1-15.

UCLA will get better. They won’t get to good.
 
Urban would be a fool not to wait out the LSU job. No way Orgeron lasts there but he will load the roster with talent...better talent than what USC will have.

Incorrect. We? play SC 2 years straight, then UCLA 2 years straight, SC 2 years straight, and so on. The conference did this so Pac 12 north teams would be guaranteed to play a game in LA every other year for recruiting exposure, LA players' families being able to see them play in LA, and whatnot.
