Unofficial TCU v Ole Miss in Tequilla's Rice Bowl thread

Just had a funny (to me) thought: what if Oregon wins the playoff, and the AP votes TCU their natty as a protest vote. Then you guys can give us shit about only winning half a title!

Dislike the Oregon part, but love the chaos part.

The only reason Ole Miss or Miss State weren't their typical 8-5 are because LSU and Auburn took big steps back this season. Even Alabama needed time to work out the kinks this season.

Ole miss lost their most dynamic player which does hurt them, but let's be real about something. TCU is fucking legit. The SEC bashing is fun as hell, but TCU isn't some stepchild beating up Wazzu. The Frogz are properly showing the playoff system is a sham at 4 teams. I wouldn't want to go against this squad at all.

If TCU is pissed they CAN ONLY BE PISSED AT THEIR OWN PERFORMANCE.

A four team playoff is enough. If you can't win your conference championship game or win all your fucking conference games (if your conference is too fucking scared to have a championship game) YOU DO NOT DESERVE TO BE IN THE FINAL 4.

I always said Big 12 >>> Big 10

Bragging about being wrong all the time?

Big 10 >>>>>>> Big 12.

If the girls' school conference adds a championship game they would become more equal.

Seriously, they are chicken sh!t. They had the chance to join a real conference but chose to be Texas' ugly fucking step daughters.

No one from that girlee conference deserves anything more than what they got.

Hell, the MWC and WAC have bigger testicles than the fucking Big 12 ADs and Presidents.

The Big 12 has for the last 10 years been right w the PAC as the 2nd best conference ...

Lots of good football traditionally played in this conference.

It's normally a very good conference. Not this year though. It needs a stronger Texas and Oklahoma to get respect.

That's absolute BS - ranks right up there w saying that the PAC sucks bc SC sucks.

Guess the PAC will suck as long as Seven is at SC

This is the same clueless bullshit SEC (and at the time Big 12) fans used to spew at the Pac10 before it expanded.

Conferences that have less than 12 teams can't have championship games. It has nothing to do with being scared.

Is there a mercy rule or something?

everyone already knew bo wallace was terrible

hugh freeze hilariously said he thought he was terrible when he coached him at fcs or juco but needed a qb that knew his system or something

its amazing the sec struggles w/ legit qb's

LSU could've beat ND by 3 TD's if they fielded a tommy rees clone

jennings is shit
wallace is shit
mauk is shit
harris is shit
etc

prescott is serviceable at times

SEC football is a joke

Totally agree, and college football conference championship games have been historically uncompetitive. Often, the top two or three teams end up in the same division, so the conference title game ends up being a blow out. Those games have been more about adding a de facto bowl game than about determining the "true" conference champion. During the short period they played a true round robin schedule, the PAC10 had the right formula for determining conference champion. That's about as fair and accurate as you can get, it just risks missing out on a team that gets really hot late in the season.
