Unofficial lets get this MNF FS over with

You can't intentionally bat the ball out of the endzone. Surprised he didn't grab it and walk out.

Whatever, lions didn't deserve that call after fumbling at the 1 yard line. Watch ESPN blow this out of proportion though

It's common sense you can't intentionally bat a ball forward on offense.

I remember UW against UCLA (maybe 99) blocked a punt or something and on the return one of the Huskies intentionally fumbled it forward and it drew a penalty flag that gave UCLA the ball back. My memory is hazy here, but i just remember thinking UW was penalized for making a great play.

This isn't a huge travesty. It's not like the ball was on the turf and a lion was going to fall on it for a TD and a Seahawk snuck from behind and poked it out of play.

He was by himself, and could have just grabbed it.

But he didn't grab it. Should have been Detroit ball inside the 1 yard line. Total screw up by the back judge. And likely changed the outcome of the game.

Not to mention, 1) no guarantee Detroit scores from there with that OL. 2) There was 1:30 left and Seattle had all three timeouts and Wilson is incredible in the two minute drill.

This isn't a game they had won with a right call and lost with a bad call. It's not the Fail Mary.

Still sucks if you're a Lions fan. But lots of things suck if you're a Lions fan.

I didn't realize ESPN poasted here

Seattle did not have all 3 timeouts. At most, they had 1.

You are wrong

We are both wrong. Seattle had 2 timeouts. They took their first timeout with 1:51 remaining.

But had the right call been made, 1st and goal Detroit inside the 1, Seattle would have burned their 2nd timeout.
