So with the inevitable banning of football in California altogether which G5 conference will UW join?

Big 10. Having that last piece of the puzzle to sell. Tradition, facilities, city, academics and finally conference affiliation. The 9am, 12 and 3pm kickoffs would be pretty cool as well.

There would need to be a realignment of the B10 divisions.
Here’s how they currently stand:
East Division: Indiana, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Penn State and Rutgers.
West Division: Illinois, Iowa, Minnesota, Nebraska, Northwestern, Purdue and Wisconsin.

Push Purdue and Illinois to the East.
We? and the Ducks fight @Mad_Son and @PurpleBaze ’s Badgers for the West title.
*Edit: I personally don’t think this is realistic but as you say @dnc, it’s a fun doog fanfic.
If the season doesn’t happen Cal, Arizona, WSU, Colorado and Oregon State will all be in Big trouble. What makes more sense, consolidating what’s left of the west coast, or jumping to greener pastures? ASU, UCLA and Utah go to the Big12, USC goes independent and UW and Oregon go Big 10. Stanford either folds or goes independent, depends on how deep their pockets are. I’ve been dreaming of this for a couple years. The Pac 12 is a joke. The leadership, fans and media are so soft. Time for teams that give a shit to finally play with like minded folk.

WASHINGTON (dammit) will always be stuck with WSU.
Your argument absolutely makes more sense but Coogs have too much say in state politically and the UW grads with political power generally a. DGAF about sports or b. Believe in participation ribbons for all or mostly c. abundance.
UW is fucked.
Oregon might maybe have a chance but they're probably in the same boat tied down with Boov.
The program is over.

Oregon would for sure leave if that's what's best for the program. Too many power brokers in the athletic department to be left out (Oregon actually cares about football). What's most likely going to happen is Oregon, Washington, USC, UCLA, Arizona, and Arizona St. will go to the Big 12. Two divisions:
North:
Oregon
Washington
Oklahoma St.
Oklahoma
Kansas
Kansas St.
Iowa St.
West Virginia
South:
Texas
USC
UCLA
Arizona
Arizona St.
Texas Tech
Baylor
TCU
Geographically it makes much more sense as well. Kind of funny that the Big 12 will probably do to the Pac 12 what the Pac 12 tried to do to the Big 12 ten years ago.

It would make far more sense for the Big 10 to take USC and Notre Dame[/b]
