It’s time for the 2021 Crosstown Cup. This year, the rivalry is temporarily renamed ‘The battle for third place in the Pac-12 South.’ If it sounds like a lame option, that’s only because the meeting has been watered down by the respective struggles of UCLA and USC this season.
The Bruins are 6-4 at this point, which already makes this Chip Kelly’s best season in Los Angeles (not saying much). At 4-5, USC needs to win two of its final three contests to make a bowl game, though missing out feels like a fitting way to officially end the Clay Helton era.
UCLA opened as three-point road favorites for this 4 p.m. ET game on Fox. At least both teams will look good by wearing their home uniforms.
