Trump has said a deal with Iran could happen “soon” and that talks are making progress.
But at the same time:
Yes, he said it — but it’s optimistic messaging, not a confirmed deal in motion.

- He’s also threatening major escalation if it doesn’t happen
- Iran has denied direct talks in some cases
- And he’s made multiple “deal soon” statements before without a result

There's a difference between objective reporting and op-eds. The Tug repeatedly struggles with the distinction between facts and narratives. This report is simply relaying what Trump said. Whether he means it or not is debatable, but it happened. He said the same thing 10 days ago.
