Bernie has said the same thing as an independent for 50 years. If you want to attribute party drama to what he says, idgaf. The truth is he's the most popular politician in America and has been for a long time, even more than Obama, and he was even popular among future Trump voters. Many went from Bernie straight to Trump, skipping Hillary. Probably a few here did that.
