Uh, no. I don't use DEI as a crutch for an argument or just an ad hominem attack. DEI is real and the whole point is to hire and promote incompetents that can't compete for the job. Calling me a NAZI for accurately describing an incompetent Didn't Earn It hire is a Godwin's Law convention related to Godwin's Law. Your describing Trump as a fascist without any ability to describe what makes him a fascist is Ern lining up as a prime example of Godwin's law.

No, there's obviously been a clusterfuck of errors from multiple parties and agencies. What those errors are, and if it's something deep and institutional, are unknown right now. I believe in a chaotic universe, and a bad actor got lucky and took advantage of a lowered guard not expecting anything after hundreds of rallies where nothing happened. Heads will roll, for sure, but I don't believe anything nefarious was afoot beyond the shooter himself. I could be wrong. I don't like making theories with incomplete info, but you asked, so there ya go!
What do you think of the repeated denials for additional resources being rejected? Budgets just too tight?

It's certainly something to investigate but remember, Trump is not president. Ex-presidents are offered protection but it's not anywhere near the protection an active president is. Trump is an incredibly unique phenomenon, insists on huge outdoor rallies all the time, and it's not a big surprise that requests for increased taxpayer funding might be denied with a "get real, bro". Look at it from that perspective. The guy and his campaign supposedly have plenty of money for his own added security that his campaign style requires. Not sure why that should be a government and taxpayer burden.
Coming from the party that wants to gut and defund federal agencies, it kind of sounds like sour grapes and a bit disingenuous.
