A strong US-Canada partnership with leadership that isn’t brainwashed by the Climate Cult would put both countries in a position for carbon-based energy drilling, pumping, and production that is unmatched anywhere else in the world. Would make OPEC irrelevant to both countries.

I think it has to do with national security and the fact that China now has bases in the Carribean, Arctic and on Pacific islands formally owned by Russia. A lot of Chinese naval activity has been occurring in the Arctic. So no, he's not a moron.
