Lots of bad economic takes on X. Colombian coffee is going to go up 25% and that will be passed to consumers!!!!!! Reality is that Colombian coffee is fucking no different from any other coffee and 99% of consumers have no idea what country of origin their coffee comes from nor care. Which means Colombia will have less exports of coffee unless they are willing to eat the full tariff, not consumers.

Roughly 25% of non-roasted beans in the USA are from Colombia. The cheaper pre-roasted ground coffee is around 40%.

It’s a moot point anyhow since Gustavo bent the knee, but X has been yet another lesson in how ignorant Democrats are regarding basic economics and supply/demand.

Diplomatic ways to work with South American countries. JFC what a dumbfuck. That is the land of do what you can get away with doing. People go down there to hike and are never seen again. People REALLY underestimate how fucked up and dangerous Sur American really is. You have to be careful. Took the clan to Machu Picchu. Very cool experience. Wanted a gun with me the entire time I was down there. I needed a vacation from that vacation because I was on high alert the entire time. Fuck around and find out.
