Trump orders Alcatraz prison to be reopened and expanded to house the 'dregs of society'

I'd rather they made it a mental institution and relocated the tenderloin
 
Most of the dregs of society already live on the streets of San Francisco.

Except Pelosi who has her own home.
 
Ain't going to happen and I don't think he's being serious, but nothing says reducing government waste like blowing $300 million+ to re-open a building that's been closed and run down for over 60 years.

I'm 100% for LA and SF suffering the consequences of their voting. Just don't let their electorate move out.

Yeah this is a dumb idea. I went to Alcatraz on a tour 30 years ago. It was a complete dump. Juice is not worth the squeeze to reno that place.

I give this a 0% chance of happening and 100% chance of the MSM covering it as though it were possible.
Alcatraz is managed by the National Parks Service so I guess if he really wanted to do this he could but at 500MM to re-open and God knows how much to operate it in 2025, I don’t see how the juice is worth the squeeze.
TLDR He’s not serious about this and is almost assuredly fucking with the media.
