Well, you could say the same thing about Trump's friends on SCOTUS (going to actually hear an argument that Trump is immune from inducing an insurrection and that silly judge running the documents case). Both of those delays reek of politics, and those were the important issues, not hush money.

This will have no tangible effect on anything. The only thing that will change is that people who dislike Trump will latch onto this and say "he's a convicted felon!" over and over again, even though it means nothing.

How is the dementia patient's classified document case coming along? Oh, the prosecutor says he should be charged but because he is senile he won't be charged. Sort of like PIPS wasn't charged for illegally storing classified documents on a private server but since she didn't mean to then it was ok. Never mind that intent wasn't part of the crime requirement and that it sort of seems like the setting up and using the private server was to store her government emails so they couldn't be subject to FOIA requests. PIPS wasn't President either with the power to declassify documents. No unequal application of the law here.
