I do appreciate Rivals trying to stay relevant. They don’t have much in the way of insider knowledge nowadays, but if a kid goes to their camps they’ll have somebody competent evaluate him.
They’ve tried to be clickbaity and give breakdowns of the recruits top schools. Today they said Troy Franklin was far from committing, and it’s an Oregon-Washington battle.

How is Oregon closing all these kids while we can't even get a commit from "locks" like Tinae and Prentice?
A funny aside to this is that Eklund said in his Monday recruiting blog (2 days ago) that people shouldnt worry about Troy because he is a LONG way from making a decision

Or how about Ruth who stated a few weeks back that she was very confident that Troy was going to be a husky. Bet you she will say that Oregon used negative recruiting against Troy and pressured him to commit.

It's dead. Been saying for the last couple of months, it's going to be a very ugly summer. Just hope there's football in the fall, hope they allow official visits in the fall and that Jimmy doesn't shit the bed in the first four games. That's our last hope to salvage this class.

Is it fair to lay the majority of the blame on the recruiting, particularly on the offensive side, on the WTF hire of John Donovan and how easy it is to negative recruit against that?
