The only thing Gregory needs to be canned from is Special Teams

The lbs have been good borderline great with okay recruiting, and according to the rankings we have gone nowhere but up

Damn near every LB on the roster is now a 4 star. The ones that arent are 3 stars everyone offerend, which to me is the same as a 4 star (Jackskn Sirmon, Ah You). The fact Ulofoshio getting PT is a possibility means he is out performing good recruits. He looked like a thumper on special teams all last season as a frosh

BBK, Victor, Keishawn, all solid players outperforming star rankings. Bartlett was okay, Beavers decent when healthy. I think the current recruits we have are going to be a lot better (Hammer, Calvert, Tafisi, etc.)

If Gregory recruits even a bit better and gets all 4 stars this group will always be great, maybe even "elite"

Not worried about ILB at all. Talent is way more important than experience in college football and we have a lot of talent there. They could literally rotate six different guys in there without any drop off in talent. Whoever rises to the top to get the most playing time will have to be really good with all that competition.

Actual play from the ILB has been stellar. Calvert, Sirmon, Danny Hammer are on the roster. Talent is there, you'll never see those guys again.

OLB/Buck or whatever you want to call it is more DL in my eyes and another animal. Pass Rush needs to improve, no doubt.

A position where we have Levi (a potential All American), and two studs that redshirted while still getting 4 games experience - one of which (Taimani) the coaches raved about all spring, plus perhaps the best DL class the program's ever signed. And you're more concerned about that group than ILB. That's complete fucking nonsense.

Wellington is the only ILB with any game experience at all... and he's never made it through a season without being hurt. Because Greggy was so terrible at recruiting the only upperclass depth we have behind him is Kyler fucking Manu. All our talent is in our freshman classes. I'm not sure what we have with Sirmon and Tafisi... hopefully they'll be good but none of us know. I really like the freshman class.... I think Hammers and Calvert will be all conference down the road. But a team that has playoff aspirations relying on a bunch of true freshman at ILB is not exactly ideal. But you're more worried about the DL?? Jesus fucking christ.

Also agree on the freshman... Hammer and Calvert will be really good.

Disagree on the LB play. BBK was incredible last year... and got better each year he was here, credit to Greggy. But Victor (not all greggy's fault) fell off a cliff, Keishawn regressed his senior year, Eiffler Tower transferred after a year, Kyler Manu continued to be a lump of shit for four years, Beavers looked pretty good when he was in, credit to Greggy. So I wouldn't call it 'stellar', I think it's been a mixed bag.

Which is a way bigger issue than LBs which are always solid.

We're not relying on true Freshman. Ariel Ngata is a RS Sophomore. Sirmon, Tafisi, and Ulofoshio are RS Freshman. Calvert will play as a true Freshman because he proved himself to be a quick study as a true Freshman this Spring. He's going to be special. We already know they're good players just like we already know Dom Hampton and Kyler Gordan and Taki Taimani and Laiatu Latu are good players. Talent is talent. It doesn't fucking matter that they haven't played yet. Talent wins games the vast majority of the time. When you stack talent and increase the competition level, whoever rises to the top will always be really good no matter what their experience level is. That's why recruiting is everything. Experience only matters for mediocre programs who haven't recruited as well as UW the past few years.

We already discussed BUCK in a previous thread. You threw a shit fit because you felt people should be concerned about the QB and the offense... as if we live in a world where you can’t be concerned about both. So now you are concerned about BUCK? I’m confused.
