Did…did I just read 15 pages of another man’s RV diary on a Saturday morning? Jesus Christ!

Favorite parts were Throbber checking in on Mabel every 2 pages, Swayes summer parties, and the reinforcement that I was right and RVs are hellholes.

Great thread Lebam!

Frigid weather on the way in Texas - hits tomorrow but I am prepped and ready. Another good brew to keep me warm

This one was smooth as could be - not heavy at all
had a herd of deer right behind my truck the other day - not sure who jumped higher - me or the deer. They charged out of the area but a couple of them decided to stop and stare, and eat. The rest of the herd was off behind some fencing and trees.

I loved growing up in Texas. Whitetail season is a religious experience. And brisket.

Haven't seen any deer lately - methinks it is deer season with all the shots ringing out around here. Neighbor farm dropped some goats - too far to see but the little guys are loud. Before I sold the farm the only time our goats made noise was when they got isolated from the group - used to have to go lead the screaming goat down to the field where the rest were doing goat stuff.

Me and the Mrs started reminiscing about our crazy goats. c3fay5vutiyw.jpeg

They used to play king (or queen) of the hill on that little mound - wish I could have burned the neighbors house down - was easier to sell. Tried to upload a short video of them but the file be too large and I am too lazy to compress it. Last month in Texas will soon be rambling on to Arizona to see a kid and soon to be daughter-in-law.

On the road again - heading west - Fort Stockton, Texas
The sun is set, the sun is riz, and I ain't outa Texas yet.

the wide open spaces of west central Texas - off in the distance the Mrs. says "that looks like a pyramid" I say "I looks like a nipple" - quiet ride after that...

Rolling down the road with the big rigs

Took exit "0" for the new temp location - on the edge of a desert but in west Texas what isn't. Looking at the mountains of southern New Mexico from as far west as one can be in Texas

Actually the drive going just north of Big Bend and the mountains of West Texas was rather nice. I just can't haul the big trailer at 80mph, so we got passed quite a bit

I have renamed El Paso to El Windo, El Dusto, or maybe El Pitso

Today is low 60's with wind gusts to 66 MPH - here is a picture looking at the southern NM mountains close to the picture right above

I think we are in the middle of a dust/sand/grit storm - could be worse, could be snowing

That's not country, for old man goat herders, Mabel.

Watch out for @PostGameOrangeSlices. Don't let that guy into the trailer.

I know what is worse than West Texas - East Arizona - we are about 20 miles east of Willcox. Bowie, AZ truly the middle of nowhere.

This morning we got hit with the storm that killed LA with snow. We had hail, rain, snow and wind and then more wind. 50 mph gusts. No damage but there is still beauty in the desert

I love Arizona and am fascinated by it. On my bucket list is to go Navajo country and just wander around for a few days.

Working your way from dot Indians to feather Indians, eh?
