Getting things in order to start a slow trek to Texas in the next few weeks. One major thing we did was haul our portable home around on some smaller 2 lane roads and realized how beat to shit the roads really are.
MrsIamNotinLebamdawg and I made a decision to get rid of our fancy bad ass truck and get a more stabilizing vehicle -

We exchanged the Badass Black Beast and got an F-350 dually. Jesus those things are big and wide. We had been looking for almost 3 weeks and were driving towards Mt. Vernon when my bro-in-law saw a dually right by where we are staying in Anacortes. The truck is a 2020 with only 105 miles on it - came via a going out of business sale in BC. Guy up there wholesaled his entire lot of Fords due to poor sales because of covid.

This place has spoiled me as we have had full hook up service at 30 amps for $10 a night. First place I am headed to will be $52 a night.

Those plates were originally the old Huskies dawg plates and when neweasel took over they changed the plates. My wife won't let me change them but in October or November I will register the truck in Texas. Bye Bye Weasel.

The color of the truck is fleet truck white* - today the mrs. said there are metallic flecks in the paint. She hates white trucks this is my 3rd one.

*White Platinum Pearl - who comes up with these descriptions

big move today - left Anacortes and made it to Bothell. took a walk around the new locale and saw another UW license plate. Good to see another idiot on the road.

One thing - boy is there some $$$$$$ in trucks around this park, some of the rigs these people have are amazing and in the $400K zone, me I am pour

First time I ever heard King of the Road was from this Showtime clip when I was about 13 or so

I was in your former neck of the woods on my way home from the Columbia the other day.

Place has gone to hell since you left.

Prepping to leave the great screwed up state of Washington tomorrow and heading into lands unknown - first stop Redmond, Oregon. At the same time I am making reservations in Idaho for a week or so then heading through Utah to the north rim of the Grand Canyon.

Utah might have some interesting camp sites I hope around some of those lakes west of Brigham City

I need to check out campgrounds on the lake I think

The longest year of my life was the morning last October that I spent in the Redmond, Oregon airport.

You just don't appreciate the ease and convenience of the small regional airport.
