Henning, Paki, Watkins. Hopefully they get a Big 10 level guard out of at least one of the 3. G. Hatchett is a fifth or sixth year guy with game experience. That could be worse. I’m pretty sure the 2025 line will be better than the one that was taken out back of the porking lot in Eugene last year. It’s not the guards I’m really worried about. Is McCree a real B10 level tackle? Really? All the other tackles on the roster are either slow footed Fasaalo or true and RS freshman. I was hoping fish would reel in one other starter level tackle. Carver Willis will be good like he was at KSU, but yeah, LT is still a major concern. Still hard to believe we couldn't compete for 2 of the better ND lineman who signed with Nebraska and Indiana.Henning, Paki, Watkins. Maybe Finau is Troy and he locks down a T spot for 3 years. I thought McCree was pretty good considering the time off and showing up late and underweight. Azzopardi? Meh.
All three ND guys were interior. I think UW will be fine there. Not where I’d over spend a bunch of money. Not securing another tackle for competition is the glaring mark on this line. You’re asking a lot for one of McCree, Fasaalo, Azzopardi or Hyklema to make a big jump. Maybe the coaches like those guys and their potential more than I do.
